Ermine Finished!

**This Ermine was bought legally and bought 2nd or 3rd hand, I did not kill it, simply stopped it from going to waste**

I finally finished my first wired softmount I am really really happy with it and this is definitely my best taxidermy work so far! I completed him a day or two ago and since then I have just been tweaking small things like cleaning up some clay from around the eyes and mouth and adjusting some toes here and there, just making sure he looked as spiffy as possible for his photo shoot
Poseable taxidermy is so much fun I will definitely do more if I have the chance. Speckle is super fun to pose around the place, make him sit/stand around the place in different positions in ways that make him 'fit into' the scene. At the moment he's standing with his front paws on my sewing bag looking at me with his head tilted cutely, I've had him set up to look out the window, made him lie down and sleep on a cushion for the night and I even got him to stay in a cool jumping pose balanced on his front paws. I'm going to make a picture soon with a range of different poses he can do to show him off. He's such a cute little critter to have around!

I have named him Speckle since he is not completely snowy white. I tried to capture the brown speckling on his face and back fur in these pictures as he was just finishing or starting to change his winter coat. It's much more obvious in real life, kinda hard to capture on camera. I love his markings, especially around the eyes, it makes Speckle look really unique and gave me an easy cute name to call him
